SUVs are four out of five new cars on dealer lots in the region. We checked all 5,906 new SUVs listed on FinAutoCheck on November 4, 2026, from dealers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and compared each dealer's own advertised price with MSRP. Only about one in seven is advertised below MSRP right now, so knowing which models have real discounts saves you a lot of calls.

What is the best compact SUV deal?
The Hyundai Tucson. Three in four Tucsons on dealer lots are advertised below MSRP, typically by about $940, and there are 181 to choose from, starting at $32,150. The Tucson Hybrid is about $760 off. For something smaller and cheaper, the Hyundai Kona starts at $27,125 and is typically about $780 below sticker.
What is the best midsize or three-row SUV deal?
The Nissan Murano has the largest discount of any SUV this week, typically $3,325 below MSRP, from $38,185. Nissan dealers cut most of their other discounts at the start of November, so the Murano is the exception in that lineup. Among hybrids, the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is about $680 below MSRP. Every Cadillac XT5 listed is below MSRP, by about $825.
Are the RAV4, CR-V and CX-50 discounted?
Not on price. None of the 253 Toyota RAV4s listed are below MSRP, and the Mazda CX-50 and CX-5 are typically listed $175 above MSRP, which is a dealer fee. About a third of Honda CR-Vs are below MSRP, but the typical CR-V is at sticker. On these models the savings come from the financing and from refusing add-ons, so compare the APR, the term and the out-the-door total rather than the price alone.
Which SUVs have the lowest APR?
| Model | Lowest APR | Term |
|---|---|---|
| Mazda CX-5, CX-50, CX-90 | 0% | 36 months |
| Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe | 0% | 60 months |
| Nissan Pathfinder | 0% | 60 months |
| Nissan Murano, Rogue | 1.9% | 60 / 36 months |
| Hyundai Tucson Hybrid | 2.9% | 60 months |
| Cadillac XT5 | 3.9% | 36 months |
| Honda CR-V | 3.99% | 36 months |
| Toyota RAV4 | 4.99% | 48 months |
Mazda, Hyundai and Nissan have the cheapest money right now. Every Mazda CX-5, CX-50 and CX-90 listed qualifies for 0% APR for 36 months, and the Hyundai Tucson and Santa Fe for 0% for 60 months. That is why the CX-50 can beat a discounted SUV on total cost even at sticker price. On a $35,000 loan over 60 months, 0% instead of 4.99% saves about $4,600 in interest.
What are the cheapest new SUVs you can buy?
- Hyundai Venue: from $22,685, typically about $600 below MSRP.
- Chevrolet Trax: from $24,885.
- Chevrolet Trailblazer: from $25,930, typically about $750 below MSRP.
- Hyundai Kona: from $27,125, typically about $780 below MSRP.
- Nissan Rogue: from $29,190.
- Mazda CX-50 and CX-5: from $31,895.
- Hyundai Tucson: from $32,150, typically about $940 below MSRP.
Why are so many SUVs priced above MSRP?
Most listings above MSRP are a small fixed amount over sticker, such as $175, which is a dealer fee folded into the price. Larger gaps usually mean dealer-installed accessories or protection packages. Ask for the price without add-ons, and get the out-the-door total in writing before you compare two dealers.
